2024 Nissan Frontier Pricing Released, Starts at $46,998

When it comes to midsize trucks, the 2024 Nissan Frontier is shaking things up with a bold new look that pays tribute to its heritage, while still delivering the capability and modern features that today's buyers demand. With a starting MSRP of CA$46,998, the 2024 Frontier lineup covers a wide range of models, including some exciting new additions.

Leading the way is the head-turning Hardbody Edition, a nostalgic nod to Nissan's original compact Hardbody pickup from the 1980s. This retro-inspired package is available on the Frontier SV Crew Cab 4x4 and features a host of vintage styling cues like heritage 17-inch wheels, classic block lettering, a bold sport bar, and iconic black trim and decals. It's like getting a new truck with the soul of a classic.

"We took the design elements [that made the Hardbody an icon] and modernized them for today's buyer," said Hiren Patel, Nissan project lead designer. "Even if you don't know the original, you'll instantly recognize this as a cool, unique truck."

While its throwback looks will certainly turn heads, the Hardbody Edition (CA$49,998) packs all the modern performance you'd expect from Frontier. Under the hood is a potent 310-horsepower 3.8L V6 paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and selectable four-wheel-drive system. When properly equipped, it can tow up to 6,260 lbs.

For those who prefer a more premium midsize experience, the 2024 Frontier lineup adds a new SL grade (CA$49,498) to Crew Cab models. The SL bundles niceties like LED lighting, leather-appointed seats, a 10-speaker Fender audio system, and more upscale amenities typically found in larger trucks.

The capable Frontier still delivers the rugged performance capabilities truck buyers crave as well. The off-road focused PRO-4X models (CA$51,998) come fortified with upgraded shocks, skid plates, all-terrain tires, and an electronic locking rear differential. Stepping up to the PRO-4X Luxury (CA$55,498) adds even more premium appointments.

No matter which Frontier you choose, you'll get a generous helping of tech and safety features. Standard across the board are Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration, forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and the comprehensive Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite of driver aids. A new longer 3-year trial of NissanConnect premium services is also included.

With fresh new styling options like the retro Hardbody Edition, a new premium SL grade, stout performance capabilities, and the latest tech - it's clear the 2024 Frontier is designed to impress all types of midsize truck buyers. Whether you're after nostalgic flair, off-road chops, or a more upscale ride, this adventure-ready lineup has a configuration to match your needs. The radically robust and uniquely retro 2024 Frontier is on sale this fall.
